Ho appreso stamattina che l’amico, il compagno, il maritodi Nella Ginatempo, l’infaticabile artista e fotografo di infinite manifestazioni e presidi, contro la guerra… non c’è più.

So che il Manifesto riporta la notizia. Io ho ricevuta questa da Nella, attivista per i diritti umani e della Rete Semprecontrolaguerra Disarmiamoli, letta purtroppo solo oggi: “Poco prima dell’alba di questo atroce giorno è volato via Melo Franchina, il mio amore. Era l’amore la bellezza la speranza la luce. Mi ha regalato tanto amore in questi quindici anni di vita insieme. E’ impensabile che non ci sia più. Tanti amici lo amano e lo ricorderanno con me domani giovedì 14 alle 13,30 alla Comunità di S. Paolo, via Ostiense 152/b. Addio Melo”.http://www.namir.it/webart/scultori/MELO13.jpg

Per una mostra, una delle tante a Roma, alla stazione Metro di Piazza Vittorio, si leggono queste righe della sua biografia : “Melo Franchinanato a Castel Umberto (ME), il 31 05 1949, risiede a Roma dove svolge la professione di architetto. Pace, ambiente ed aspirazione ad un altro mondo possibile sono i temi prevalenti nelle sue opere, un artista impegnato nel Movimento altermondialista. I suoi progetti, dalla valenza artistica e politica, sono guidati da un elemento narrativo ed attingono a linguaggi differenti: installazioni, fotografia, pittura, scrittura, architettura. Ogni progetto si inserisce in un percorso che tende a costruire reti di relazioni ed eventi, per incidere sulla presa di coscienza collettiva di ciò che tende a rimanere invisibile.”

E’ impensabile che la guerra dopo anni ci sia ancora, cara amica, e lui non ci sia più…Abbiamo avuto il dono di conoscerlo e voi di esservi amati. Conosco queste improvvise notizie che sconquassano tutto, anche il senso della nostra esistenza, che continua insieme: come avrebbe voluto anche lui, nell’unico mondo che conosciamo e chiede ben altro che Odio e Affari.

Il 2 ottobre del 2008 Melo, per Roma Festeggia la Giornata Mondiale della Nonviolenza, presso “La Città dell’ Altra Economia”a Largo Dino Frisullo, partecipò con le sue opere a cui diede come titolo: La Storia Siamo Noi?

Si , rimane con noi, con le infinite e generose tracce che ci ha lasciato: Contro la Guerra…Cambierà? So che per te è tristemente cambiato il presente, ti sono vicina tanto vicina, come tante amiche ed amici che sono ugualmente con te. Siamo andati e tornati insieme da Genova, nel 2007, un viaggio lungo e che sembrava senza fine: faceva freddo a novembre e parlammo a lungo seduti ad un bar, alla stazione nella notte, aspettavamo di ritornare a casa. Abbiamo anche riso tanto, ci sentivamo ragazzi e vecchi sfiniti. A presto Nella, Melo non lo scordiamo.Ti amava.
