Partecipare a questa beffa, significava dare credito al governo, essere complici di un inganno. Avrei perso la fiducia del mio popolo. Sapevo comunque dai miei sostenitori nel governo che Karzai e la sua cricca di fondamentalisti erano decisi a non lasciarmi vincere a nessun costo. E poi ci sono state le innumerevoli minacce di morte contro di me e i miei sostenitori. Molto concrete. Non posso rischiare la vita delle persone che mi sostengono e mi proteggono…Cosa puoi fare, allora, per portare avanti la tua battaglia? Continuo a dire la verità sul mio Paese, in ogni parte del mondo. Voglio essere la voce di tutte le persone che rischiano ogni giorno, lavorando per un futuro diverso. Sono loro la speranza del mio paese. E cerco di stare vicino alla mia gente, di battermi per i loro diritti, di aiutarli come posso. Che cosa dovrebbe fare l’ Europa e in particolare l’ Italia per aiutare davvero l’ Afghanistan a uscire dalla crisi attuale? Smettere di seguire gli Usa in questa guerra devastante e di sostenere il governo fantoccio di Karzai.E’ in grado l’ Italia di non aiutare più gli assassini del popolo afghano ?” Quando va all’ estero, Malalai porta sempre con sé un album di fotografie, come se fosse quello di famiglia, pesante come un macigno. Immagini a colori, insopportabili: i corpi straziati delle vittime dei bombardamenti Usa e Nato, donne, uomini, vecchi, bambini, ricoverati negli ospedali. Lo mostra a tutti, perché capiscano di cosa parla.”

Riporto poi integralmente l’intervista a Samia Walid, membro del Revolutionary association women Afghanistan, Rawa, tornata in Italia per un tour di conferenze organizzato dal Cisda: “La tortura infinita di essere una donna afgana”. Tramite questa organizzazione ho ricevuto una lettera da Cristina Cattafesta che aggiornandoci, mette in oggetto: Nel nostro piccolo… CISDA NEWS .Ho letto di iniziative in alcune città italiane, come quella sopra citata, piccole cose dall’Osservatorio Afghano. Sono stati investiti molti soldi in questa guerra maledetta come tutte le guerre, e sopratutto da noi in Italia, dove si tagliano diritti costituzionali e si favoriscono commerci di armi e di traffici di carne in Missione, con la protezione delle banche e dei poteri: il 9 ottobre del 2009, avevo già scritto nel merito Errori ed Orrori di guerra. Le donne afghane dicono Fuori!.

Come al solito, alla fine ho scelto delle immagini, mi costava molto riportare quei Burqa ma donna, quei volti blindati dalla stoffa, poi ho trovato una fotografia di una donna palestinese con una bambina, in un sito che si chiama Pasquino, dove mi ha colpita non solo la foto che poi ho messo, ma la scritta in calce : “Il mondo si è riempito di mezzi di comunicazione ma abbiamo abolito tutti i luoghi di comunicazione”. Sembra davvero vano e anche assurdo dover ripetere tutto, come in una tragico spettacolo che continua indisturbato: questa giornata la dedico con il mio diario di storie minori, a queste donne, con amore e rispetto. Senza limiti e senza confini, per la Natura.

La tortura infinita di essere una donna afgana

INTERVISTA. Samia Walid della Revolutionary association women Afghanistan: “L’ attuale sistema, creato dagli americani, è più pericoloso dei talebani. Dietro ai discorsi democratici, si cela l’ attacco ai diritti del popolo”.
Samia Walid, membro del Revolutionary association women Afghanistan e voce democratica di quella straziata nazione, è tornata in Italia per un tour di conferenze organizzato dal Cisda. Ha constatato le crescenti difficoltà burocratiche per varcare le frontiere, ottenere il visto dalla nostra ambasciata, entrare nella cittadella fortificata dove sorgono tutti gli uffici di Kabul, un deserto abitato da funzionari e militari dove il cittadino afghano, al quale presterebbero servizio, è considerato un alieno.

Signora Walid, se domani tutte le truppe Isaf partissero dall’ Afghanistan cosa accadrebbe?
Sia che partano domani sia che restino per altri 3 o 6 anni la situazione rimarrà difficilissima. L’ intervento Nato l’ ha resa più grave del 2001, colpa di bombardamenti e morte seminati ogni giorno e della disillusione diffusa per la copertura data ai Signori della Guerra. Questo ha imbarbarito i rapporti sociali e umani. Nessun cambio di tattica può cancellare dalla mente degli afghani l’ operato occidentale: aver sparato sui matrimoni assassinando civili in festa, protetto mafiosi e corrotti di cui s’ è riempito il governo Karzai.

Come giudica Rawa i negoziati fra Karzai e le fazioni talebane?
La decisione di Washington, di cui Karzai è esecutore, è l’ ultimo tassello d’ un quadro devastante. Gli Usa ci invadevano in base alla lotta al terrorismo islamico, per nove anni hanno ucciso donne e bambini definendo le stragi danni collaterali all‚’ obiettivo finale. Ora l’ obiettivo è cooptare i Taliban al governo. E dopo aver ascoltato amenità attorno a presunti talebani moderati, vediamo che i loro leader, prelevati da Quetta e Peshawar, sono trasportati ai colloqui su aerei Nato. Cosa devono pensare le famiglie afghane in lutto?

I Taliban verranno riacquisiranno spazi ufficiali di potere?
E’ difficile che possa accadere in toto perché gli Usa puntano a dividere le forze. Però sia i Taliban, sia Karzai e il suo gruppo, sia altri potentati, vogliono una fetta di potere e gli americani, che mirano a controllare indirettamente il territorio, cercheranno di bilanciare le parti. I Taliban non sono cambiati, restano fedeli al fondamentalismo che non è peggiore di quello dei mujaheddin dell‚ÄôAllenza del Nord e dei sostenitori del pashtunwali Sayyaf, Fahim, Khalili.

Cos’ è cambiato dal governo talebano a quello filo occidentale dell’ attuale Presidente?
Del governo talebano sono note le atroci esecuzioni di donne lapidate, pratica tuttora in uso. Poco tempo fa, una coppia di giovani accusata d‚Äôimpurità è stata uccisa così e nessuno s’ è opposto. L’ attuale sistema può risultare addirittura più pericoloso perché dietro discorsi democratici si mascherano attacchi ai diritti del popolo. Scelti e pagati dagli americani, personaggi dell’ attuale governo praticano nefandezze pari se non più smaccate di quelle talebane.

Cos’ è mutato per le donne?
I Taliban ci negavano ogni diritto. Vivevamo murate vive, non potevamo uscire sena la compagnia d’ un uomo della famiglia. Ma se osserviamo la realtà odierna, i diritti delle donne afghane sono teorici e minimi. Il diritto allo studio, che esisteva anche prima della parentesi talebana, è un sogno. Anche le pochissime famiglie che dispongono di reddito tengono le ragazze in casa perché temono ritorsioni se si scopre che le loro figlie vanno a scuola. Aggressioni e stupri sono aumentati. Le nostre 68 parlamentari sono tutt’ altro che autonome per decisioni o denunce. Per interesse o per paura, non parlano e non difendono le ragioni femminili. Molte di loro sono replicanti di chi le indottrina: Karzai e i leader etnici. Ancora una volta è il potere maschile a decidere per loro.

Ora la Nato punta a rafforzare esercito e polizia locali, a debellare povertà e coltivazione dell’ oppio. Ci riuscirà?
Nel vertice di Roma e in quello che ci sarà a Lisbona, i temi trattati non sono affatto nuovi. Due mesi dopo l’ inizio dell‚ÄôEnduring Freedom molte milizie talebane erano fuggite dal Paese: sarebbe stata la migliore occasione per addestrare forze armate locali, ma nulla è stato fatto. Ora se ne riparla puntando su una popolazione ancora più disperata, svilita e analfabeta. Altro bluff è la questione dell’ oppio. Negli ultimi anni non solo si sono superati livelli di produzione precedenti al 2001, ma la piaga s’ è diffusa in province dove un tempo non c’ era. I problemi non sono i singoli cittadini, bensì i vertici della società tutelati nell’ arricchimento illecito dagli statunitensi. Bismillah Khan, capo delle forze armate, e Rahim Wardak, ministro della difesa di cui si dice abbia in casa una prigione privata, sono criminali e occupano posizioni chiave con l’ idea che finché dura, s’ arricchiranno.

Lei ha assistito alle recenti elezioni: una farsa come le Presidenziali del 2009?
Sono state anche peggio di quelle di cinque anni fa. Nel 2005 il controllo sulla popolazione da parte di gruppi politici legati a Signori della Guerra o Taliban non erano così diffusi come oggi. Allora qualche voce democratica era riuscita a candidarsi e anche a essere eletta in Parlamento. Oggi è sempre più difficile. In più sono aumentati i brogli (1 milione e 300mila schede sono già state annullate nel corso dello spoglio, ndr). Pochi hanno diffuso notizie come quella riguardante il mullah Taraqi, della minoranza kuci legata ai talebani, che ha fatto sistemare un’ urna in casa per controllare meglio il voto. O sulle schede già segnate giunte dal Pakistan. E poi c’ è chi ha filmato le operazioni controllando dove finiva il voto. Sicuramente verranno eletti gli uomini del potere, con pochissime eccezioni di candidati indipendenti come Bashardost (che aveva ottenuto il 5% nelle Presidenziali del 2009, ndr).

Cresce il peso dell’ Iran nella regione, per un Afghanistan dilaniato da decenni di guerra ciò è un pericolo o un’ opportunità?
L’ Iran ha un’ influenza trentennale negli affari afghani e quest’ apertura diplomatica degli Stati Uniti nei suoi confronti è solo un passo di real politik. Noi consideriamo il regime di Teheran fondamentalista e fascista, oppressore del popolo che ha come scopo il suo rovesciamento. Il governo di Ahmadinejad continua a diffondere dolore fra i profughi afghani che vengono incarcerati e condannati a morte per reati connessi alla loro condizione di fuggiaschi affamati. L’ Iran punterà a un Afghanistan diviso e fragile per poter sperare in un suo controllo parziale o totale.
